SBI PO Exam 2017
State bank of India conducts PO exam in three phases as Preliminary, Main & Interview. The interview consists of group discussion and face to face interview.
All candidates who qualify preliminary exam will be shortlisted to appear for the main exam. Similarly, candidates who clear the main exam will be called for group discussion and interview.
SBI PO Vacancy 2017

IBPS PO Salary Structure 2017
The total compensation per annum on CTC basis would be a minimum of Rs. 7.93 lacs and maximum of Rs. 12.95 lacs depending on the place of posting and other factors. The approximate salary compensation for SBI PO post is shown below:

IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria 2017
Essential Academic Qualifications
All candidates appearing for SBI PO exam should be graduate in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government. Candidates who are in their final year or semester of their graduation may also apply subject to the condition that, if called for the interview, they must produce proof of passing graduation on or before 1st July 2017.
Candidates who are CA (Chartered Accountant) can also apply for SBI PO post.
The minimum age of all candidates appearing for SBI PO examination should be minimum 21 years of age or maximum 30 years of age as on 1st April 2017. It means that the candidate must have been born not earlier than 02/04/1987 and not later than 01/04/1996 (both dates inclusive).
SBI PO Number of Attempts
Candidates who have already appeared for the maximum number of permissible attempts are not eligible to apply. The number of attempts will be counted from the examination held on 18.04.2010. However, appearing in Preliminary Examination will not be counted as a chance.
SBI PO Exam Pattern 2017
Phase-I: Preliminary Examination
The first phase of SBI PO recruitment process is the Preliminary Examination which consists of Objective type questions for 100 marks. The preliminary exam will be conducted online. The total duration of the preliminary test will be of 1-hour duration consisting of 3 Sections as shown below:

Phase-2: Main Examination
The main examination is the second phase exam of SBI PO recruitment process. Candidates are only eligible to appear for the main exam after they clear online preliminary examination. Main Examination will consist of following tests:
- Objective Tests for 200 marks
- Descriptive Test for 50 marks
Objective and Descriptive Tests will be a purely online test. All candidates have to answer Descriptive Test by typing keypad on a computer. After you are done with Objective Test, Descriptive Test will be administered.
The objective test will be of 3 hours duration. There will be a total of 4 Sections for total 200 marks. Each section of the objective test will have separate timing. The candidates are required to qualify in each of the Tests by securing passing marks, which is decided by the bank.

The descriptive test will be of 30 minutes duration. The total marks allotted for the descriptive test is 50 marks. The complete test is around English Language test which will have mainly letter writing and essay writing.
All candidates are required to qualify in the Descriptive Test by securing passing marks which is again decided by the bank. The descriptive Test paper will only be evaluated or checked if the candidate has secured minimum passing marks in the objective test.There will be
Note: There will be a penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests and this applies for both preliminary and main examination. For every wrong answer, there will be a deduction of one fourth of the marks assigned to that question. However, there will be no deduction of any mark if a question is left blank or unanswered.
Candidates who have been shortlisted based on online Phase II, i.e. main examination, will be subsequently called for an Interview. The interview will be conducted at selected centres across India. The centre details along with timings, etc. will be notified to all eligible candidates through admit card or call letter.
This phase will have group discussion and face to face interview. In the GD round, candidates will be grouped in small numbers and will be given any topic to debate. The total allotted marks in this round are 20 marks.
After GD (group discussion), every candidate will be called for face to face interview round. The total marks of this round are 30 marks.
Note: The marks of pre-exam will not be added in GD and PI (Personal Interview) round. However, Main exam marks will be added to this phase and the final list will be purely based on the combined mark.

SBI PO Results 2017
SBI will release the results after completion of each Phase of Examination. So, in totality, candidates will be receiving call letter three times. The combined final score of candidates will be based on the scores obtained in the online main examination (Objective and Descriptive Section) and interview. The weightage ratio of online Main Examination and the Interview will be 75:25 respectively.
