Above SBI Clerk vacancies were laid out in different states, categories, circles, etc. Even, this year, i.e. 2017, it is expected to see close to 20,000 vacancies in SBI Clerical cadre.
SBI Clerk Salary Structure
The total starting emoluments of SBI Clerk in a metro city like Mumbai will be around Rs. 20,950/month. This will also include dearness allowance (DA) and other allowances at the current rate. However, a Junior Agricultural Associates will be eligible to get an additional amount of special pay of Rs. 490/month, which is estimated for DA, HRA and superannuation benefits.
Allowances of any SBI Clerk may vary depending on the place of posting. Any clerical cadre employee will be eligible for reimbursement of various perquisites such as Provident Fund, Gratuity, Pension under New Pension Scheme (Defined Contribution Benefit Scheme), Medical, leave fare and other facilities.

SBI Clerk Eligibility Criteria
It is to be noted that any candidate can only apply for one state and one SBI Clerk post. It is also expected from the candidate to be proficient (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) in the official language of the State.
Your knowledge of the local/official language will be checked as part of SBI Clerk recruitment process.
(1) Essential Academic Qualifications of SBI Clerical cadre
- Junior Associates – Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government.
- Junior Agricultural Associates – Graduation in Agriculture or Agriculture allied activities from a Government recognised University or Institute.
(2) Age Criteria of SBI Clerk
Every candidate at the time of filling SBI Clerk application, should not be below 20 years of age and also should not be aged more than 28 years.
But there is a relaxation of upper age limit for below categories.

How to Fill SBI Clerk Online Application 2017
Every candidate has to complete the SBI Clerk online registration and payment process within the prescribed dates. Below are the charges of SBI Clerk application for Junior Associate and Junior Agricultural Associate.
- SC/ST/PWD/XS Rs. 100/- (Intimation Charges only)
- General and OBC Rs. 600/- (SBI Clerk Application Fee & intimation charges)
You cannot get any refund after you have paid the Fee/Intimation charges.
SBI Clerk Pre-Examination Training
SBI will arrange pre-examination training at below centres for SC/ST/XS/Religious minority communities. All candidates who wish to take the pre-examination training have to bear the cost of travelling and lodging. Pre-examination training will be free of cost.
SBI Clerk Exam Dates 2017
Till date, there has been no announcement of any fixed date for the SBI Clerk recruitment examination. has been released for SBI Clerk Recruitment 2017. However, SBI is expected to release Clerk exam date sometime in the month of September or October 2017.

SBI Clerk Admit Card / Call Letter
Every candidate has to download the SBI Clerk call letter from SBI official website. You may get total three opportunities to download call letter before every stage of SBI Clerk recruitment process.
You just have to enter your registration number and password/date of birth for downloading admit card/call letter. Please make a note that SBI will not send any hard copy of admit card or call letter through the post.

SBI Clerk Interview Round
SBI Clerk recruitment process may or may not consists of interview round subject to the government of India approval. SBI clerk official notification also mention about interview round, but it is quite confusing to understand SBI shortlisting process for interview round. But do not worry as we will make you understand the exact shortlisting process of SBI for interview round.
Let us see what SBI says in their official SBI Clerk recruitment notification:
We will take an example to understand above statement. Suppose there are 100 SBI Clerk vacancies in General category. Also, 1000 candidates get shortlisted after the Main examination. SBI will make a list of 1000 shortlisted candidates in the descending order where candidates with higher marks will be placed at the top of the list.
Now, SBI will only call three candidates for each vacancy for clerical cadre interview round. In this example, SBI may call 3 x 100 (total vacancy) = 300 candidates from 1000 shortlisted candidates in the top to bottom order.
