To appear for IBPS Specialist Officer Exam,
A candidate should be a:
- Citizen of India or
- Subject of Nepal or
- Subject of Bhutan or
- Refugee who came to India before 1 Jan 1962 with the intention of settling in India or
- Candidate of Indian origin who has migrated from with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that the Government of India has issued a certificate of eligibility. Countries which comes in the list are Tibet, Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, the United Republic of Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, East African countries of Kenya, and Vietnam.

3. Age Criteria
Age criteria to appear for IBPS SO in General Category is – Minimum 20 years and Maximum 30 years.
However, A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1989 and not later than 01.08.1997 (both dates inclusive)
